Short: Wolfenstein3d like demo
1/9/93 Rot readme.
-----
Note: I made some changes to the archive, read readme.first
for further information.

"rot" is short for "rotation".
This is a wolf3d-like demo that gets up to 20 frames
per second, 32 colors, 288X150 resolution (kind of :)
I'm releasing it "as is" with bugs. I'd like to see this
develop into a PD game (see "rot.invite" file). But if
there isn't enough interest to help me develop this further,
I might never fix the bugs in it now. So I might as well
release it.
DISCLAIMER:
Fast CPU required:
It runs fine on a 68030, but probably won't look
good on anything less. (Haven't tried it, though)
Math chip required:
This demo requires an FPU. (The 3000 and 4000 have
one built in.)
A4000 owners:
Our copperlist won't work on the 4000 unless you
disable the AGA stuff (I think) I did see the demo
run on a 4000, and I know that you do need the cache,
but I don't remember the exact option I turned off
on bootup.
Please spread this around, but include all files with it:
rotdemo.txt -- this file
rot.lzh <<
rot -- the demo
dungon -- dungeon file
rot.invite -- invitation for you to join a team to
develop this into a PD game.
rot.description -- technical info
Controls are:
To run the program, simply put "rot" and "dungeon" in the same
directory and type "rot".
Mouse: Mouse pointer at center of view screen means stand still,
moving the mouse to the left or right of the center of the
screen turns you left and right. Moving the mouse above
or below the center of the screen moves you forward and back.
The further from the center you move the mouse, the faster you
go.
"y","Y": Auto-rotate clockwise, counter-clockwise.
"q": quit
5=forward, 2=back
4=rot left, 6=rot right
1=step left 3=step right
s=turn off overhead map (speeds up rendering a frame or two
